CMAT 2024: IMPORTANT DATES, ELIGIBILITY, REGISTRATION, EXAM PATTERN, SYLLABUS

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level entrance examination in India conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).CMAT 2024 exam will be conducted in May 2024.The CMAT registration usually starts between January - February but this year it's been delayed

It is a computer-based test (CBT) that evaluates candidates' proficiency in various areas such as Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness. NTA will conduct the CMAT exam 2024 in over 100 cities across India. CMAT is a speed-based entrance test 

CMAT is accepted by over 1300 MBA colleges all across India which include JBIMS, K.J. Somaiya, Prin. LN Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, Great Lakes Institute of Management, KIIT School of Management, Amity University, BIMTech, Goa Institute of Management, Xavier Institute of Management and Research, Gitam School of Management.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR CMAT 2024

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CMAT 2024

  • Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India
  • Educational Qualification: The candidate must have completed a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute.
  • Minimum Percentage: There is no specific minimum percentage requirement for appearing in CMAT.
  • Final Year Students: Candidates appearing for the final year of their Bachelor's degree (10+2+3) are also eligible to apply for CMAT.
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit specified for CMAT.

CMAT APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION PROCESS

CMAT application and registration process is conducted online by NTA. CMAT application fee is INR 2,000 for General / EWS/OBC-NCL (Male) and INR 1,000 for rest of the students. 

Below is the application process for CMAT 2024

  • Registration Visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) or the official CMAT website. Look for the CMAT registration link.
  • Create a new account 
  • Once you have registered, you will receive login credentials.
  • Fill Application Form: Log in to your account using the provided credentials. Complete the application form
  • Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-sized photograph and signature in the prescribed format
  • Payment of Application Fee: can be paid online through net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.
  • Print Confirmation Page: After successful payment a confirmation page will be generated. Download and print
  • Admit Card Download: After the application process is complete, the admit card for the CMAT exam will be released on the official website.

EXAM PATTERN FOR CMAT 2024:

CMAT Syllabus 2024

  • The CMAT exam is typically conducted in online mode (Computer-Based Test).The total duration of the exam is usually around 180 minutes.
  • The number of questions in each section and the overall marking scheme may vary from year to year.
  • There may be negative marking for incorrect answers, typically with one-fourth of the marks allotted to the question deducted for each wrong answer.
  • The difficulty level of the exam may range from moderate to challenging.
